City & State New York named Shams DaBaron, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of LionFox Development, to its 2026 Black Trailblazers list.

On November 4, 2025, voters approved the housing measures produced by the 2025 New York City Charter Revision Commission. Shams DaBaron served on it.

On July 14, 2025, the City Council approved One45 for Harlem unanimously. LionFox is co-developer, delivering the affordable housing.

On May 20, 2025, Shams DaBaron asked a City Council subcommittee to approve One45, the housing proposed across from a park bench where he once slept.
